Wedding

It’s been a few weeks since our wedding, and we’ve finally had a chance to sit down and reflect on how wonderful everything was. It’s true what they say; your wedding goes by so fast, but we tried to take every opportunity to step back and take it all in as it happened.
There are so many people we must thank for helping execute such an amazing weekend:
You all helped create a wonderful atmosphere, one that we will never forget. Photos and more will be posted soon!

5 days!!!
11 more days!!
If you haven’t already done so, book a room!
After tomorrow (April 29th), the remaining rooms in our $99/night reservation block will be released. The hotel has informed us that Memorial day is a very busy weekend for them, and that the hotel will likely sell out, so don’t forget to make a reservation!
Our group coordinator just added some more hotel rooms to our block. Make sure to book a room before they run out again or before all remaining rooms are released on April 29th.
Looks like you all have been busy making hotel reservations at the Renaissance Orlando for our wedding; as of Friday, April 8, we’ve already filled up our group block of 50 rooms!
If you recently tried and couldn’t make a reservation, don’t worry! We’re working on adding more rooms to the block at the same discounted rate of $99/night. We’re expecting more rooms to be available after Monday, April 11.
Keep in mind that after Friday, April 29th, the hotel will release all remaining rooms in the block, and the rate will likely increase significantly.
We’ll keep our website updated, but if you have any questions, send us an email to kavitaandtarun [at] gmail [dot] com.
Dynamite by Taio Cruz
Kavita & Tarun walked out to this song with Tarun’s Patti (grandmother) at Sneha & Vikram’s wedding reception just a few weeks ago.
Six months have flown by since our last update, but we’re so excited to finally announce that our wedding will be on Sunday, May 29, 2011, in Orlando, FL, during the Memorial Day Weekend.

We’ll be making more frequent updates on our blog over the coming months so that everyone can start making their travel plans. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions along the way.
Here we go. We’re just a few weeks in to our internships and are definitely feeling the strain of being apart. While we’re no strangers to a long-distance relationship (we’ve already done a solid two years), all the excitement and anticipation of the wedding is making this year especially tough to get through.
That all being said, we think we’re adjusting pretty well. We’re both working hard and learning a lot. Kavita has been getting reacquainted with Gainesville and is enjoying the challenges of her first full-time position as a professional. Tarun has essentially become nocturnal, working “graveyard shifts” at the hospital for the month of July.
Even though our schedules are pretty much opposite, we’re managing to stay in touch, share our experiences with each other and our families, plan a few visits to New York and Florida, and of course, keep the wedding planning going strong.
Everyone says this year is going to fly by. Honestly, we wouldn’t mind fast-forwarding a little :)
